Ina Garten is an American author of cookery books as well as Emmy Award-winning host for Food Network's longest-running program Barefoot Contessa which debuted in 2002 has 27 seasons to 2020. Ina Garten started her professional journey at the White House where she wrote the nuclear energy policy and budgetary papers. Ina initially enjoyed the intellectual stimulation that came with the job, but then was bored. Instead she bought Barefoot Contessa, a specialty store for food. The store was a success for 18 years. the store extremely successful prior to selling it off and picking up the pen to write her first cookbook. There were other cookbooks to follow, as did magazine columns. Later, the Food Network television show too began its run and was very popular. Her products range from cookware and kitchen appliances to storage containers. Ina is a cook who has learned by herself that hasn't attended a cooking school, nor had a job in the kitchen. Her name is associated with her casual manner of cooking as well as entertaining. Her most popular recipes include her lemon chicken with a skillet roast and Beatty's Chocolate Cake Mac & Cheese Beef Bouguignon, the Balsamic Roasted Brussels Sprouts, and Lemon Bars.
