Zoe-perry
Perry was born to actors Laurie Metcalf, and Jeff Perry. Her first roles on television included two episodes in the role of Jackie Harris (as seen in flashback) on the ABC sitcom Roseanne which was played by her mother. She did not explore acting as a profession until she reached the age of adulthood due to her parents being afraid of the negative effects that stress could be a cause of. Perry was shy in high-school and did not act. She began acting in the year 2000 at Northwestern University to gain friends as she moved from Boston University. Perry following her graduation from Boston University moved in New York in search of television roles. She landed small parts in shows like Law & Order: Criminal Intent. But, her home-sickness drove her to California for theater roles. The Other Place was performed by her and her mom on Broadway in 2013 In 2015, she was a part of her father as well as Kevin McKidd in Eugene O'Neill's Pulitzer Prize-winning drama Anna Christie on the Odyssey Theatre Ensemble in West Los Angeles. Perry was in nine episodes on ABC's drama The Family during 2016. In 2017, Perry played a supporting role in ABC's political thriller Scandal that starred her father. That same year the actress was selected to play a younger model of Mary Cooper (Sheldon Cooper's mother) on Young Sheldon, a spin-off of the CBS sitcom The Big Bang Theory again as a teen version of her mother's role. The role was selected via auditions the fact that she had a deep relationship with the show.
